Maidenhead United have announced former Chippenham Town midfielder Josh Smile as their third summer signing.
Smile, 22, impressed the Magpies in their FA Cup ties against the National League South side last season, the York Road club said.
Smile was signed to Fulham’s academy in 2011 after starting his career at his hometown club Oxford United.
He captained Fulham’s U19 and U23 squads before joining Chippenham in 2016.
The Magpies have already signed Henry Landers and Shamir Fenelon this summer.
Chief scout Lee Devonshire said: “Josh Smile is someone who really came to our attention when planning for and coming up against Chippenham in the FA Cup last season.
“He is a talented footballer who has a good range of passing, both short and long and likes to play forward which is something we like.
“Josh is another one who is in his early twenties who will benefit from our new training model and is hungry to push on in his career.”
