A typical Fennies nursery, which are all designed with a 'very similar look and feel'.
New nurseries are set to open up in Maidenhead and Windsor next year from a provider with 28 other provisions under its belt.
Fennies nursery group is planning to launch venues in College Avenue, Maidenhead, and Osborne Road in Windsor.
Founded in 1992, Fennies has purpose-built nurseries across London, Surrey, Kent, Berkshire and Middlesex.
It works on a ‘strict no-acquisition policy’, meaning it never acquires existing nurseries. Rather, settings are designed and put together by its in-house real estate team.
The chain’s latest nursery will be coming to Maidenhead next year with a further branch planned in Windsor later in 2026.
Fennies Maidenhead will host children aged three months to five years from its base in 17 College Avenue.
Both nurseries will feature curated rooms for each age group, alongside a ‘vibrant garden space’.
They will both include:
• Two ‘Explorers’ rooms with dedicated milk kitchens and nappy change areas
• A ‘Creators’ room with defined learning areas for language development
• Outdoor space with a mud kitchen, growing area and sandpit.
In Maidenhead, there will also be an ‘Inventors’ room from which children can move freely between the indoor area and the large garden.
Fennies Maidenhead also has a kitchen on-site with chefs and a cooking studio where young chefs can explore the culinary world.
The company offers tours of its spaces. If one site in isn’t open yet, Fennies suggests touring one of the others, as they all ‘a very similar look and feel.’
