The Advertiser and Express are introducing some exciting changes to our subscription packages which will offer readers a host of benefits when they sign up.
For the first time, we are offering a combined package which grants subscribers unlimited access to our websites, as well as weekly digital editions of our print titles AND access to our fascinating archive dating back more than 200 years.
Our digital editions and archives use page-turning software called Pagesuite. Some readers may already be familiar with using Pagesuite, but here's what you need to know if you're not.
How do I access digital editions?
All of our digital editions are hosted on a unique website – www.baylismediaarchive.co.uk – which allows subscribers to search for the edition they want to read. These editions range from copies of the Advertiser and Express published in the Victorian times, right through to the latest edition to come out this week.
You can also read the latest copies of the Advertiser and Express by simply clicking on the thumbnails below.
Click the edition to start reading.
How do I browse an edition?
Once you've opened the newspaper you want to read, it's easy to flick through pages on desktop, tablet or mobile. Simply use the arrows at the top of the page to turn the page.
You can zoom in on the page by double clicking with your mouse, or pinching and expanding using your mobile device. On desktop, you can also zoom in using the plus and minus prompts in the top left corner.
Pagesuite also allows you to download a PDF of the page. Click the download symbol () in the top right corner to select the page or pages you want to download.
How do I browse through editions?
You can select the edition you want to read directly through the Pagesuite interface, by selecting the archive button in the top right corner ().
This will open up a new window with thumbnails for the year and edition date for thousands of newspapers in our archive.
How do I search for the edition I want to read?
There are two ways to do this.
Visit www.baylismediaarchive.co.uk and use the handy 'Search the archive' tool at the bottom of the landing page.
This allows you to search for editions within a certain timeframe, or to search using keywords or an exact phrase.
You can also do this while you are browsing a Pagesuite edition by clicking the search icon ()in the top right corner.
How do I access the latest edition once I've subscribed?
You can subscribe for a monthly, quarterly or annual subscription to our titles using the prompts that appear on our websites.
Once you've subscribed, you can start browsing digital editions straight away if you're logged in. If you're not, you will receive a prompt.
Visit www.baylismediaarchive.co.uk to start browsing or click on the thumbnails for the latest editions of the Maidenhead Advertiser and Slough & Windsor Express below.
