Charges of kidnapping and assault have been brought against four people including a 17-year-old boy as part of an investigation into an attack in Windsor.
The boy, who cannot be named due to his age, was charged along with Joshua King, 18, Lewis Leighton, 20, and Tommy Jones, 22, over a kidnapping in the town at around 7pm on October 28.
The two men in their 20s have been remanded to prison and the two teenagers released on conditional court bail ahead of a hearing at Reading Crown Court on December 2.
A second 17-year-old boy from Windsor, also arrested in connection with the kidnap, has been released on police bail until January 22.
The charges in full are:
- The 17-year-old boy from Windsor: one count of kidnap, one count of blackmail, one count of false imprisonment and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
- Joshua King, aged 18, of Crescent in Windsor: has been charged with one count of kidnap, one count of blackmail, one count of possession of a bladed article and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
- Lewis Leighton, aged 20, of Dedworth Road in Windsor: one count of kidnap, one count of blackmail, one count of false imprisonment, one count of possession of a bladed article and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
- Tommy Jones, aged 22, of Greenfinch Close in Sandhurst: one count of kidnap, one count of blackmail, one count of false imprisonment, one count of possession of a bladed article and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
