THIS year the Henley Children’s Theatre will be performing a brand new pantomime at the Kenton Theatre — a production of Beauty and the Beast.
HCT have been entertaining Henley at Christmastime for 46 years, but this is the first time they have produced a tale of Belle and the prince transformed into a beast.
With story origins from France, you can expect some Gallic jokes, but it is well and truly a local show, with references to Falaise and of course, the Belle Bookshop.
The script is written by Mike Hurst with plenty of unexpected characters — the bookseller Toulouse LePlot and Inspector Jacques Clueless — but can they stop Rose-Marie from losing all her petals in time?
Muffin Hurst directs the cast of bright young things, who will sing and give you a truly spectacular show.
Beauty and the Beast is at the Kenton Theatre from Tuesday, December 29, to Sunday, January 3.
Come and see our cast of Henley children aged three to 15 attempting crazy French accents! Marvel at the Rose Hippies as they attempt to save Belle ... and the whole panto!
This is a traditional, family pantomime providing festive entertainment for all ages. To book, call (01491) 575698 or visit the website at www.kentontheatre.co.uk
