A 37-year old man has been charged with two counts of fraud in connection with a bogus builder scam.
Ruben Butler, of Reedham Road, Burnham, was arrested on Setpember 13 and charged the next day under the Fraud Act 2006.
The charge is in connection with two incidents that took place on September 12 and September 13, in which a lady in her 90s was convinced to hand over money for building works which had not been completed.
Butler appeared at Reading Magistrates’ court on September 14 and has been remanded in custody to appear at the same court on October 17.
