Aspiring young Berkshire dancers will showcase their talents alongside a professional dance company at South Hill Park.
The Berkshire County Dance Company Youth (BCDCY) will perform with the Joss Arnott Dance Company as it presents its Triple Bill production.
The show will take audiences on a journey through powerful choreography that has established the company as one of the most exciting in British contemporary dance.
Lena Dee, founder and artistic director of the BCDCY said: “These curtain raisers are fantastic on so many levels.
“Firstly, the young dancers get to perform as part of a professional dance show to a paying audience.
“They also watch the professional company in rehearsal and in performance that evening.”
The BCDCY is an auditioned group of dancers aged 13 to 23.
It aims to help talented performers make the transition from school to vocational dance.
Lena added: “Working with dancers like Joss Arnott gives the young dancers the opportunity to find out more about a variety of contemporary styles, improve their technique and performance skills, build confidence in being thrown in at the deep and working to a professional standard.”
