Met Office issues weather alert for heavy, thundery showers in Berkshire and Bucks

The sunshine in Windsor and Maidenhead looks set to be short-lived as the area prepares to be hit by heavy rain tomorrow.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather alert warning of heavy, thundery showers which will turn torrential in some areas.

It warns of the risk of hail and the possibility of localised flooding.

The alert is in place from 1pm tomorrow until 9pm and affects Buckinghamshire, Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead.
