BCA College Maidenhead Development 4, Bucks Sports Academy 4
Striker Dominik Sowa scored all four goals for BCA College’s Maidenhead Development team against Bucks Sports Academy yesterday (Wednesday), but it was not enough to deliver victory as the hosts came from 4-1 behind to draw 4-4.
In a heated game between the two academies, BCA took an early lead when Sowa smashed the ball passed the keeper, and then a few minutes later it was 2-0 as the front man curled in a free-kick from distance.
Bucks showed an early glimpse of their resilience when they reduced the deficit to one goal on the stroke of half-time.
However, the second half saw BCA seemingly take a firm grip on proceedings when man of the match Sowa tapped in to complete his hat-trick and then 10 minutes later he made it 4-1 with another close range finish.
The turning point came when Bucks brought on two substitutes, adding more physicality to the team and driving them forward to score three times in 12 minutes.
Neither team had a clear chance to win the match in the final minutes leaving the score 4-4.
BCA were the better team for 70 minutes and will be disappointed not to have come away with all three points.
BCA’s Maidenhead Academy side were unable to overcome unbeaten leaders Oxford City yesterday, going down 3-1 despite a good goal from Brad Keetch.
Ryan Smith was BCA’s man of the match.
