Progression of Maidenhead’s Crossrail service will continue according the Government’s Mid-Term Review released on Monday.
Crossrail will provide a no-stopping service linking Maidenhead with Essex, via London, and is due to start running in 2018.
The review also confirms the government’s commitment to the western rail link to Heathrow Airport, providing faster journey times, plus plans to boost broadband services country-wide.
Theresa May MP said she is delighted with the government’s support of the projects.
She said: "The western rail link to Heathrow, combined with Crossrail, will ensure even better transport links for Maidenhead, while improvements in broadband will be greatly welcomed by local villages. These sort of infrastructure improvements will be a big boost for the Maidenhead area.”
