Christmas is coming early for community groups across the town courtesy of the Maidenhead Advertiser's Cracker Appeal.
A total of £10,000 has been raised from the annual scheme which relies on the generous donations of local businesses and people.
It helps fund Christmas parties, day trips and events throughout the year for groups including the Cox Green Luncheon Club and the Windsor and Maidenhead Starfish Swimming Club.
A presentation will take place at the Magnet Leisure Centre today where a share of the money will be given to representatives from each group.
The Holmanleaze leisure centre has been busy helping the appeal by carrying out its own 10:10 fitness challenge.
The gruelling physical test involves spending 10 minutes running on a treadmill and 10 minutes cycling with the aim of completing the challenge in the fastest time possible.
On Friday Father Christmas will be interrupting his busy schedule to take part.
