A Victorian day was enjoyed by pupils at Burchetts Green CE Infant School on Tuesday.
Dressed in their most imaginative outfits, students and staff turned up for a more unusual day at school.
Activities included woodwork and needlework lessons while computers and pens were banned as the children had to get to grips with writing on chalk slate boards.
Headteacher Delia Sheppard said: "They absolutely loved it, it was a very exciting and fun day."
The focus on Victorians comes as the school prepares to celebrate its 145th anniversary next year.
The children also have plans to hold a Victorian themed Christmas party.
