Go-kart wonder Harry King clocked up the fastest lap in his final race of the year on Saturday as his dream debut season came to an end.
The 11-year-old took second place in the Forest Edge Club Championship in Barton Stacey.
After entering the national karting championships for the first time this year, the Holyport CE Primary School pupil has surpassed all expectations by winning both the National Kart Racing Southern Area Championship and the Open Cadet F6 South Eastern Championship.
Harry, of Moneyrow Green, said: "I did not think I was going to be South Eastern champion or anything as big as that."
After first becoming interested in racing when he asked to use an old go-kart in his garage, his casual interest soon turned into a petrol-fuelled passion.
Proud dad Tom said the future is looking bright for the racing star.
"It has gone better than expected for us," he added.
"We were not sure he was ready for national level competition but obviously he was."
Preparations are now already underway for next year as he looks to compete in more challenging championships.
