Cat rescues put on hold due to illness

Cat rescue work at the Maidenhead, Slough & District branch of Cats Protection has been suspended indefinitely after co-ordinator Peter Simmonds was taken ill.

The branch is also unable to take in any more stray or unwanted cats as its cattery pens and foster homes are currently full.

But volunteers will continue their work to re-home cats currently in their care and hold fundraising jumble sales at the Holyport Memorial Hall on November 25 and December 16. A street collection in Maidenhead town centre on December 14, will still go ahead.
