Mobile operator, Three UK, will be employing hundreds of people in its retail sector and increasing the Scottish telesales operation as part of a major expansion and recruitment drive.
There is no specific announcement about new jobs for the Maidenhead town centre office in Grenfell Island, but it is included in the 800-strong recruitment drive to support growth throughout the UK.
Announcing more than 300 new telesales and management roles in Glasgow, the firm says there will be 400 more roles in its retail operation across the UK, including Maidenhead.
The telesales and retail jobs are being created to support Three’s rapid growth as 'the network of choice' for smartphone and coincides with the launch of a £3 million upgrade at the Glasgow office.
Dave Dyson, chief executive of Three UK, said: “As the UK’s fastest growing mobile company, we are experiencing a surge in demand for smartphones and we’re supporting that with a network that delivers a great internet experience.
“We have ambitious plans for growth and the expanded team in Scotland has a huge role to play in realising them. Glasgow’s can-do attitude has made it a natural choice.”
