Drivers have been reminded that the southbound stretch of the A404 near Maidenhead will be closed this weekend for resurfacing work.
The road will be closed from 9pm this evening and is set to reopen at 5am on Monday morning.
A signed diversion will re-direct traffic between junction 8/9 of the M4 and junction 9b of the A404 via the A308 and the A4.
There will be a similar closure on the northbound carriageway next weekend.
One lane in each direction of the 2.25mile stretch will be resurfaced for the 50,000 daily drivers.
The road could be reopened if the weather is too bad to carry out the resurfacing.
