A search for a stolen car which began in Oxford ended with an arrest in Maidenhead last night.
A blue BMW was reported stolen in the Oxford area shortly before 9.30pm.
Police traced the car to Furze Platt and the helicopter and the dog unit were deployed to help track it down.
It was eventually stopped in Harrow Lane shortly before 10pm. A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft.
He remains in police custody. It is not yet known where he was from.
