Police are appealing for witnesses after a 10-year-old boy was approached by a car driver in Maidenhead yesterday.
The child was travelling by scooter along Linden Avenue on his way to school at about 8.20am when a four-door blue car going in the same direction pulled up alongside him.
The driver lowered the passenger window and called out, which frightened the boy who left the scene.
No direct contact was made between them.
The man driving the car is described as white and balding on the top of his head with dark and greying hair of medium length.
He had a moustache and goatee cut short, was of medium build, in his forties, and wearing a white t-shirt with grey writing on the chest.
Police have increased patrols in the area but say there is no need for residents to be unduly alarmed.
Contact Det Sgt Peter Wall on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
