The fifth Windsor and Maidenhead Community Forum (WAMCF) inter-faith cricket tournament at Boyne Hill Cricket Club in Bath Road was a great success.

Karnail Pannu, chairman of the forum, said: "The teams were a mix of faiths ages and abilities.

"That is what the day was all about, mixing, developing links and breaking barriers."

The afternoon began with the junior under 14s teams the Shepherds X1 playing the Amaans X1.

The Shepherds won by eight runs scoring 242 against the Amaans 234.

The senior match pitched the Maidenhead Daredevils against the Kings X1.

The Daredevils managed 170 - two winning by eight runs against Kings' 162 - seven.

The Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead, Cllr Richard Kellaway, presented the two cups. A delighted Mr Pannu said: "We are already looking forward to next year."
