Harveer Gandam (right) is ready to lead Burnham into the Julian Cup final

We're counting down to the start of pre-season with Maidenhead United this week, while Marlow and Burnham cricket clubs prepare to face off for silverware.

It's another truncated edition of SportsTALK this week due to the reporting trio's continuing cameo appearances in the newsroom, but they have still managed to pull together some interviews for you, dear listener.

The World Cup might be about to conclude but preparations are just beginning for the start of the Conference South season.

Dan Darlington caught up with Magpies manager Johnson 'Drax' Hippolyte to find out how he has managed to bring five new signings to York Road and if there is anyone else on his radar.

It is also the Julian Cup Final this weekend and Graeme Copas caught up with the captains of both teams involved.

He spoke to  favourites Burnham, who have won the last five competitions, and Marlow, who are appearing in the final for the first time in 20 years.

First up, there is Burnham captain Harveer Gandam.

Despite winning the cup for the last five years he was expecting a competitive contest.

Marlow's Graeme Paskins is leading his team to their first final appearance since 1994 and spoke of his desperation to get their side's name on the trophy.

Graeme also chipped in with his predictions for the clash.
