The Met Office is forecasting today could be the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures set to rise as high as 27°C in the South East.
Much of the region is expected to hit highs of about 26°C, with Met Office forecasts estimating temperatures in Maidenhead, Windsor and Slough will be about 25°C for much of the afternoon.
But the heatwave will be short-lived, with more rain forecast for the weekend.
