New for this year’s Maidenhead Festival, part of the entertainment will take place at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts.
X Marks the Rock will be a free ‘fringe festival’ at the Altwood Road venue, showcasing local bands on both days of the weekend.
A free shuttle bus will run between Norden Farm and the main festival in Kidwells Park over the weekend.
The fringe festival has been created
by Norden Farm’s young curators team, a project for young people funded by a National Lottery Grant for the Arts, giving them the opportunity to organise events and book artists.
So far, the team have curated gallery exhibitions and travelled the country scouting out musicians and plays which will be programmed in the autumn 2014 and spring 2015 season at Norden Farm. They are being mentored by youth leader David Farey and Maidenhead Live’s Carly Kenny.
