The date for the closure of a road bridge has been pushed back following a review by Network Rail.
The bridge in Highfield Lane, Cox Green, is now due to close on Wednesday, July 9, instead of the previous date of June 23.
The structure is to be rebuilt higher in order to make room for the electrification of the railway line which sits underneath the road bridge.
A temporary footbridge will be installed on Saturday, July 12, to maintain accessibility for pedestrians.
The road will be shut to motorists for six months.
Diversions via Cannon Lane and Woodlands Park Road will be put in place in the meantime.
