Cyclists in Maidenhead are being encouraged to register their bikes and have them security marked.
Police are offering information on cycle safety, and details about how to register a bike for for a a series of ' Have Your Say' meetings in June.
There were 35 bike thefts in the Windsor and Maidenhead local police area in the first five months of 2014.
Inspector Mike Darrah from the Maidenhead neighbourhood policing team said: "If your bike is security marked then it will be easier for the police to identify it if it is stolen and speed up the process for returning it to the owner.
"I would encourage anyone who owns a cycle to attend one of our events and have their bike registered and security marked."
