A 'be aware' yellow warning has been issued by the Met Office for today as forecasters predict downpours arriving later today.
The forecast warns of 'potentially intense thundery downpours' which are likely to develop from the middle of the day onwards across the South East region.
The Met Office has said the public should be aware the rain could bring a risk of surface water flooding, while hail and gusty winds could also present a hazard.
The warning is valid from noon until 8pm tonight.
