A former Maidenhead schoolboy took part in a record breaking drum roll at the Tower of London.
Chris Mace, a past pupil of Altwood School, St Luke's Primary School and Maidenhead Nursery, was one of the musicians in the Royal Marines Corps of Drums taking part in the attempt.
Starting at 6pm on Wednesday, April 30, the target was to break the record for the world's longest drum roll by a group, which stood at 28 hours, 19 minutes and three seconds.
The drummers smashed the record, posting a time of 64 hours, 27 minutes and 59 seconds.
Their attempt has also raised more than £8,950 for The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.
