Drivers have been encouraged to be 'heroes' and ditch their cars for national Catch the Bus Week.
People who do not normally take a bus were encouraged to do so to and help reduce congestion and protect the environment.
As an added incentive, Courtney Buses offered Advantage Card holders a quarter off adult single, return and day ticket fares.
Royal Borough cabinet member for highways and transport, Cllr Geoff Hill was joined by web-slinging superhero Spider-Man in Maidenhead High Street on Friday to spread the word.
"Catch the Bus Week is all about giving buses an extra push to encourage those that don't normally use this form of transport to give it a try," said Cllr Hill.
The week started on Monday and ends on Sunday.
