As part of a dragon-themed project, pupils at the school in Burchetts Green Road learnt about dragons, castles and knights, listened to fantasy tales told by a storyteller, and did their own dragon-themed artwork.
Although dragons are the topic for the entire five-week term, the school held a special event, which took place on Thursday, April 24, to give the four to seven-year-olds the chance to dress up.
Senior teacher Mrs Mags Neaves said: “The children had a lot of fun, as well as learning new words.
“But I think it’s also important that they know about St George’s Day, not just because of the history but the ethos about endurance and courage are values we uphold at our school.”
