A theatre school has celebrated its first birthday.
More than 50 pupils from Maidenhead's Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts took time out from their weekly lessons in comedy and drama, musical theatre and film on Saturday morning for a slice of cake to mark the event.
The Maidenhead academy is one of 56 Pauline Quirke theatre schools in the UK and holds its sessions at Furze Platt Senior School in Furze Platt Road.
School principal Liz Charleston said: "We had great fun."
"Everybody is amazed we have been open for a year.
"We have such a fantastic group of students, they work really hard and have a superb work ethic."
The school, for children aged between four and 18, is always looking for new members.
