The couple who have run Maidenhead Conservative Club for 26 years have won a prestigious award just before their retirement.
The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) selected Viv and Ray Williams to receive the Vic Powell Award recognising them for their long-service to the club in York Road and support of real ale.
They were also voted by CAMRA members in Maidenhead, Windsor and Slough as branch club of the year for the fourth time running.
Ray, who has lived with Viv above the Conservative Club since they first took it on, is looking forward to retirement in three weeks time, when they will set up home in Ockwells Road.
They couple are planning to spend more time travelling and gardening and visiting Maidenhead Conservative Club as customers.
Ray, who will also go to as many Fulham FC games as he can, added: "It has been fun.
"We have had our rough patches but we wouldn't have done it this long if I didn't enjoy it."
