Governors from St Nicolas’ Combined School in Taplow were 'delighted' at a 'good' grading from Ofsted.
Inspectors visited the school in Rectory Road on February 27 and 28 and published the final report on Monday.
It said pupils achieved well and were making good progress.
By the time they leave they reached standards that are above average, particularly in maths and reading.
It added teaching is 'consistently good' along with students’ behaviour, adding they are keen to learn and have ‘impeccable’ manners.
The report said St Nicholas’ fell short of being regarded as an ‘outstanding school because attainment is not as high in writing as it is in reading and mathematics, particularly for more able children.
Executive Headteacher Rob Harris said everyone is very pleased with the report and felt it was a fair reflection of the school’s strengths.
