A 48-year-old man who tried kidnapping a woman will be sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday.
In the early hours of June 1, (2013) Martin Cain, from Stormpits Road, snuck behind a 31-year-old woman in Shoppenhangers road and put his hands over her mouth.
Cain then attempted to pull the woman into an alleyway, but she screamed, before breaking free and running away.
He was arrested shortly after and charged the following day.
On February 24 he appeared at Reading Crown Court. Cain admitted a charge of attempted kidnap with intent to commit a sexual assault and given conditional bail ahead of the sentencing.
