Maidenhead’s top cop has said that 'everything is being done' to solve the mystery of a 41-year-old woman found dead in her home.
Police were called to a property in Mulberry Walk at 8.17pm on Friday.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and released on police bail until May 15.
Local Policing Area (LPA) commander for Windsor and Maidenhead, Superintendent Kate Ford, said there will be a range of additional tests before any further decisions can be made about the death.
"It’s being treated as unexplained," she said.
"The post-mortem hasn’t reached anything conclusive.
"Everything is being done to capture the evidence that is required.”
She also reassured the public by saying there is nobody ‘outstanding’ in the police investigation.
"I would be at pains to make that clear,” she added.
A formal identification of the woman is yet to be made and toxicology tests are still ongoing.
