Enterprising pupils at Altwood School have been busy raising money to book their places on an expedition to Kenya.
In July, 23 students from the school in Altwood Road will travel with Camps International for a month of charity work.
They need to collect £3,860 each to cover the costs.
During their trip, the youngsters will help in schools and homes within developing communities and will also get the chance to complete a personal challenge, such as an open water diving course.
Over the past year, fundraising efforts have included a male staff leg wax, cake sales, sponsored walks and swimathons.
The group are halfway to their required goal and the events will continue until May.
