There was a narrow escape for three young men after one of the wheels on the car they were in suffered a blow-out on the M4 last night.
The men were travelling in the Reading direction between junction 8/9 and 10 at about 11pm when the incident happened, causing them to collide with the central reservation and end up stationary in lane one.
They managed to escape the car moments before another car, a hatchback, went into the back of their vehicle.
The other car was being driven by a young woman, who suffered some minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
The men were described as being shaken, but uninjured.
Two fire crews from Maidenhead attended the incident, and left the scene at about 12.20am.
