Maidenhead Nursery School has made the leap from 'good' to 'outstanding' following a recent Ofsted inspection.
Staff and pupils have been celebrating after the report revealed the nursery in School Lane had bagged top marks in every area.
Inspectors labelled it 'a joyful place because it provides a wonderful rich environment where children develop their love of learning.'
Co-headteacher Helen McHale thanked all the staff for their hard work.
"We were disappointed not to get judged as outstanding in our previous inspection, however we used that report and it's recommendations constructively," she said.
"The staff have all worked exceptionally hard to move the nursery from good to outstanding in all areas.
"This is an amazing achievement in the current climate.
"We will continue to work hard to further improve standards of teaching and learning by sharing expertise across the three schools in our federation."
