An initiative to combat loneliness will be discussed by the Big Society Panel at Windsor Guildhall tonight.
A report submitted to the panel recommends establishing a 'good neighbour scheme' to encourage people to spend time with lonely or older residents.
It also recommends that the Royal Borough works with voluntary services to identify loneliness and raise awareness of any scheme approved to tackle it.
The panel was also due to hear updates on the 13 existing Big Society Projects, and discuss how to develop the Adopt a Street programme.
