A new health suite has been opened at the Magnet Leisure Centre.
The £70,000 facility was officially opened on Thursday, January 9 and includes a sauna, steam room, bucket shower and hot tub.
The Royal Borough's cabinet member for leisure and services, Cllr Eileen Quick, was joined by long-standing gym members in unveiling the suite, which took two months to build.
Speaking on Tuesday, the manager of the centre in Holmanleaze, Chris Hall, said the make-over has proved popular.
He said: "The members were very patient while we deprived them of a health suite for a couple of months.
"All the feedback we have had has been really positive. It's a quality health suite, we're very proud of it."
A new personal trainer and nurse has been recruited by the Magnet.
Sam Thornton, who was previously a member of the centre's gym, hopes to encourage more youngsters into exercise.
