A shunt between four vehicles in the fast lane of the M4 caused tailbacks around Maidenhead this morning.
Police were called to a collision on the westbound carriageway just beyond junction 8/9 at about 7.30am.
Nobody was harmed in the crash, but the lane was blocked for an hour and caused delays of about 40 minutes for motorists passing through.
The cars were clear by 8.30am and traffic is now beginning to return to normal.
