More firefighter strikes are set to take place today after the latest round of industrial action passed with relatively few incidents.
Members of the Fire Brigades Union have been involved in a long-running dispute with the Government over pensions and working conditions and staged their latest strike between 7pm and midnight on Christmas Eve.
Contingency plans were put in place by Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS), but the service only had four call-outs during the period which required attendance.
Those included a chimney fire in Pinkneys Road, which was swiftly extinguished.
The next strike action is planned today from 6.30pm to 12.30am tomorrow and from 6.30am-8.30am on Friday.
