Families urged to talk about organ donation

Families are being urged to talk about organ donation this festive season by NHS Blood and Transplant.

In Berkshire there are 106 people waiting for a transplant and in the last five years 26 residents have died due to the shortage of organs.

"We need everyone, including the 264,728 people on the NHS organ donor register in Berkshire, to talk to their loved ones about their donation decision," said a service spokesman.
