A Corornation Street star was among the guests who helped the Alexander Devine Children’s annual Christmas Party go with a seasonal swing on Sunday.
It was the fifth party held for children with life limiting conditions and their families by the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service charity, which is fundraising to build a hospice for children in Maidenhead. It is based in Slough.
Patti Clare, who plays Mary Taylor in the 'street', is an ambassador for the charity which also provides nurses to care for sick children at home.
The party took place at the Hilton Hotel, Reading.
There was an Aladdin theme and more than 100 children and their families attended the magical afternoon .
Fiona Devine, co-founder and chief executive of the charity said: “I felt that this year’s Children’s Christmas party was the best one yet. It is the highlight of our year at Alexander Devine and helps create some special memories for our amazing children and their families.
"Our wonderful charity ambassador Patti attends every year and can always be found in the sensory area playing with the children."
