Drink driving arrests are up 25 per cent in the Thames Valley.
Thames Valley Police arrested 84 people on suspicion of drink-driving in the first eight days of the Christmas anti-drink drive campaign, compared to 67 arrests in the same period last year.
The campaign was launched on Sunday, December 1.
Of the 84 arrested - including 26 motorists from Berkshire - 44 have been charged, 29 bailed and 11 released with no further action.
They range from 18 to 75 years old.
An Ascot man - Michal Zakrezewski, 32 - is accused of being three times over the legal limit when stopped in Slough on Tuesday, December 3, and has been charged and bailed to appear at Slough Magistrates Court on January 3.
