Paralympic bronze medallist Rebecca Gale visited Sainsbury's Local in King Street to collect about £1,000 in donations for SportsAble.
The archer from Maidenhead won her medal in the team event at the 1996 Paralympic Games.
The shop has an annual grant to spend on charities of its choice and this year £450 of the £500 grant went to SportsAble.
It also has collection pots in store for the charity, which took the total handed over close to the £1,000 mark.
Store manager Stuart Lance said: "How much work they do really opened my eyes."
He added staff from the store plan also to help out at the centre one day every four weeks.
