The public are being asked to help shape a strategy and action plan for carers in Windsor and Maidenhead.
The Royal Borough is holding a consultation and two workshop sessions for people to have their say on the issue.
More than 13,000 people in the Royal Borough provide unpaid care for ill or vulnerable family members, relatives or friends.
The sessions are at Windsor Leisure Centre from 10am-noon on Monday ,December 9 and 10am-noon at the High Street Methodist Church in Maidenhead on Thursday, December 12.
Cllr David Coppinger, cabinet member for adult services and health, said: "We are determined to make sure that carers of all ages have the help and support they need to continue in the role if they choose to and have a life outside."
