Budding cooks at Highfield Girls Preparatory School were treated to a master class by Giancarlo Caldesi of Caldesi en Campagna.
Giancarlo, who runs the Italian restaurant in Old Mill Lane with his wife Katie, lead the year one class in baking Italian quiches and biscuits on Thursday, October 24.
The little chefs all mucked in with the food preparation by chopping vegetables and rolling pastry.
Giancarlo's visit was arranged because the class is studying Italy this term.
Headteacher Ms Annie Lee said “We are very grateful to Mr Caldesi for taking time out from his busy restaurant to teach the girls real Italian cooking."
