Three figures will dance at the entrance of Norden Farm after the site was given the green light to install a living sculpture.
Artist Trevor Leat will create a 'family circle' sculpture of three dancers in front of the Long Barn.
The 10ft tall figurines will be wrapped in willow to grow and change with the seasons.
Work on the lottery funded sculpture began on Monday and the first stage of the build is expected to be completed in mid November.
Trevor will host two free workshops at the centre on Saturday, November 2, to teach his weaving techniques to anyone over the age of five.
The workshops will take place between 10am-noon and 2-4pm and places must be booked in advance.
