As if a 13.1 mile race wasn't tough enough, barber Mark Branwhite will be competing in the Pharmalink 2013 Maidenhead Half Marathon while wearing a bottle of beer.
The 41-year-old from Hearne Drive in Holyport wasted no time in snapping up an offer to wear the costume after an employee from Fullers London Pride popped into Mark's barbershop in Staines.
"I wanted to have a crack at dressing up for a change," he joked.
"It is such a weighty suit, I did not think it would be that heavy."
Mark is no stranger to long distance running having competed in the Maidenhead Half Marathon for the past two years and a variety of other distance races.
But this could be his toughest task yet as he continues to adjust to his new suit while aiming to raise £1,000 for the Jago Worrall Foundation.
"It is harder then any marathon training I have done before," he added.
"It is going to be unbelievable."
