Retired people enjoy Dedworth 'phantom cruise'

It was 'Ship Ahoy' at Dedworth Baptist Church on Tuesday when 25 retired people turned out to experience a 'phantom cruise'.

The church in Smiths Lane was the centre of a fun day of shipboard activities organised by Carol Edwards and Reverend Matthew Scott.

The church was transformed into a cruise ship for the day.

There were deck sports including skiffles, pool and quoits, nostalgic films recalling the 1930s and 1940s and the chance for many of the visitors to renew old acquaintances with fellow Dedworth residents.
