Thieves deny cyclist a racing chance after stealing bike

Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a high-performance road bike from King Street on Tuesday last week.

The white Colnago bike, with distinctive blue writing on the frame, was stolen from the bike rack outside David Lloyd gym in Maidenhead between 5.15pm and 7.30pm.

The victim, a 23 year-old woman, was set to compete in a bike race at the weekend.

Anyone who recognises the bike or saw any suspicious behaviour in the area at that time should contact the police on 101.
